What if we treated all athletes the way we treat skateboarders?

I think this is a really funny video. It's one in a series of video's Nike has done. But the funny thing is, this one is Golf, and Paige plays Golf, and I skate. So, yeah. While it may no be hilariously funny, it is rather funny. Skateboarding is not a crime people.

Venting

I want to try something. I'm gonna give everyone a chance to vent a little bit here. just out of curiosity, what time do you all wake up for school? I get up around 5:40. School starts at 7:45 and goes till 3:10...uh...yeah. Its late so I wont give my self a chance to complain (trust me, I'll go on for days...and you think i'm joking), so I just want to know who has it the worst? Whoever wins gets complaining rights. I'll do a whole 'nother blog thing about what I call complaining rights but for now we'll just stick with this. SO, you don't have to say anything if you don't want to. And if you haven't started school yet, I hate you. Just kidding. I don't really know how to end this so uh...ready, set, GO!?

What I've Learned in School + Demetri Martin Video

Im sorry to everyone who has been waiting for stuff to be posted. School started for me wednesday (the 19th) and the golf season started the 12. I can tell you I've been in absolut hell just from getting used to everything again, which is strange cuz I feel like I didn't even have a summer. I think Jillian told me she started the 17th which is even worse. I have a list that I made from all the times I was angry about school and disapointed that it has never and will never get better, called..."What I've Learned in School" which is not as boring as it sounds. I'm cosidering putting some of the list up. Im not sure if I should cuz my mom always tells me the internet is never safe and anyone can see this stuff and it could hurt you if you go to find a job and what not...any one else have the same thing? at least she cares. Heres just a sample of the list. These are from freshman year when I was supposed to be writing a paper. these are some of my first.

-People still fart and it is getting annoying no matter how funny it is (not gonna lie, farting is hilarious, just not in confined public spaces
-people have learned to keep it silent but deadly but have not yet learned how to stop
-There are a lot more emos in the world than I thought
-Youtube, The Lonely Island, and itunes are like medication for me, I need them otherwise I can't go on

and heres something else incase that wasnt funny. He starts making funnies in the middle, just wait for it. I love Demetri Martin.

JESUS Est. 1

I came up with this idea along time ago but thought I'd share with you all (Jillian knows about it already). I feel like I've said this before so if i have, ignore this post.

You know how they always have those shirts that say, for example, Abercrombie and Fitch est. 1892 or something like that? I always thought it would be fun to have a shirt that says Jesus but instead it would say est. 1, because it only makes sense right? Jillian and I came up with our own pictures for it...

Here's mine. I found a picture from the show Cheers and just messed with it. That's not exactly how it would look but somewhat close.

Here's Jillian's. I don't know how she did it but its awesome.

Top Gear

I hate to say it but this is more of a serious blog ,and believe me, I hate to do this, but this has been on my mind for all of about 4 hours. I just viewed the season finale of Top Gear, which is an awesome British show all about cars. I know the car stuff might send a groan over the audience of a whopping 7 followers, but I promise if you watch other stuff from the show it will be hilarious. The reason I brought this up was because of the final segment they had for the season finale. If you've seen any other things from this show, you'll know that everything is done all in good fun, but this is just oddly serious for them and it's confuzing me. The clip features the lovely Aston Martin V12 Vantage and if you really focus on the beauty of the car and the sound it makes, you might understand the whole "sadness" thing Jermey [Clarkson] (one of the hosts) is getting at. Just the way he says goodnight is chilling but yet comforting at the sametime.

Also, I wanted to say that whoever directed this was a genious. I absolutely love how they are showing all these pictures of old and new supercars, muscle cars, and a bunch of other greats embeded in nature. Also the disolves between the Aston and the nature scenes with the engine roaring everyonce in a while just kind of show, I think, that as we are trying to fix what our love of gas has done to nature over the years, the car is not really an art anymore. In the confusion, everything is just blending together even though cars might be close to nature already. Its just a challenge to get it to be more kind to nature, and the beauty of it all (the artistry, the engine, the power, the excitement, the speed) seems to be suffering. Soon it will all be forgotten as our obsession changes from speed to environmentally friendly. In a way, it's good that we are concerned about the future of life and the planet, but I can't help feeling more of a sadness for the brilliant minds that designed and brought these cars to life. Their work might mean nothing to us anymore in a few years time. Either way, the directior for this show deserves an award. Thanks for reading my drawn out presentation of exactly what my mind is thinking about.

Competitive Puzzling?

I just discovered I can rant about myslef on my blog page thing. So I guess I could say I updated my profile. Check it out if you feel like it. Its definitely not done. Okay thanks then. And I promise I'll post something of value soon.

P.S. I discovered today that competitive puzzling would be an awesome sport. I was doing a puzzle today and as I was picking out pieces, I heard announcers in my head like, "ooooh, she's not gonna like that one. She's gonna have to put it back in the box and wait to find a good spot for that one. Awww, that was a tough blow to her game. She's gonna have to get her act together if she's gonna have any chance of finnishing her puzzle before our previous champion."
